Summary
Ocean began years ago as a hand-coded SaaS project, intended for commercial use. Time for development was too short and the AI revolution too fast, so I’m just not seeing the alpha for it in the market there once was. Howver, the underlying engine - distributed genomic research across multiple unrelated clinical seats - is I think absolutely still worth getting out into the world, for training data if nothing else.
I’m in the middle of refactoring the entire thing for public release, should be available on Github late 2026/early 2027.
