And we're off!

The sabbatical started yesterday, I am finally off to the races! Yesterday was mostly taken up with getting reacquainted with every project I’ve left metaphorically open on the workbench and working out order of operations. A somewhat surprising amount of the work is going to be away from the keyboard, but perhaps that should be expected as AI takes over the software world. 

This morning over coffee I was catching on with the bio side, reading through the first couple stories in an Asimov Press’ publication Origins - these on the first synthetic biology “circuit” and the origin of the labratory pipette. The latter was quite timely, as I’ve realized I sorely need a proper physical foundation under my work. 

For now a brief spell with just pen and paper to get my head back on straight after years in the metaphorical trenches, then we’ll get Koan moving properly.

 It’s going to be an interesting year!
